Going to the gym ‘could reverse aging process’

Forget miracle pills and potions, the key to eternal youth could be as simple as going to the gym.

Scientists have shown that pensioners who regularly use weights have almost as much energy as people less than half their age.

Just six months of gentle weight training is enough to turn back one of the body’s molecular clocks and rejuvenate ageing muscles to the point where they are almost as powerful as those found in someone in their 20s or 30s.

Researcher Dr Simon Melov said the finding gave “credence to the value of exercise, not only as a means of improving health but of reversing the aging process itself.”

    reverse the aging process, give me a break. gentle exercise is probably

    good for just about anyone. but, please no false promises.
