YouTube to Share The Wealth

Washington Post on YouTube’s decision to share revenue with its users.

In October 2005, Revver announced plans to attach advertising to user-submitted videos and give their creators a cut of the profit.

There are no details as of yet on how much YouTubers might receive or what mechanism would be used.

This is a good development for a truly free society.  YouTube users with the right mindset and desire could now actually make a living creating home-style videos, much like the way many people now make a living selling their wares on eBay.
