Robosapiens not flying off shelves

In a subscription only article, the Wall Street Journal is reporting that Robosapiens were not selling well, saying one store “still had dozens of RoboSapien remote-controlled robots permanently discounted to $154 from $199.97.”

Could be byproduct of overall Christmas sales though.  The overall thrust of article:

Retailers worried about a steep slowdown in the first three weeks of December got some relief in the final days before Christmas, but last-minute shoppers and heavy discounting failed to deliver as strong a finale as retailers had hoped, according to one early projection.

Anyone, what have you seen or heard?  How have robosapiens been selling in your neck of the woods?

UPDATE:  Two Robosapien products are listed as Top Ten sellers on amazon.com.  WowWee’s Roboreptile is listed at Number One and the Robosapien V2 is Number Nine for Toys and Games.  Though heavily discounted, the figures are encouraging.
